In my opinion at least the Yank 3600. If you go to small the first time your'll be paying twice the amount to do it over again. I started out with a TCI 3000 and it nice at first but got bored of it quick. Luckly a buddy of mine gave me his converter and I had Circle D restall it to around 4000. My tuner said the converter flashed even higher (4600) on the nitrous. Circle D also makes a great converter, you can't go wrong either way unless you go to small. Good luck.

Thumbs up

I have a vig2800, more like a 3200.

Great for the street. High stalls tend to get annoying if you do lots of street driving. They also generate lots of heat, so get a tranny cooler for sure.

What cam are you going with? Unless you have a huge duration cam, no reason for a super high stall.

SS4000 or possibly PT4000 or 4400 if you can deal with some looseness. MS4 will like the shift extension of the PT's and the crazy topend pull they offer. However, if it's mostly a street car, the PT's aren't for everyone. I love my PT4400 and wouldn't have it any other way, but some would prefer a tighter converter for street duty.

I drive a pt4000 on the street with some 2.73gears i think. So supposedly thats super loose but it doesnt bother me at all. It hits like a monster from a 10 roll. (anything less leaves chunks of tire on the road)

3600 is a minimum that you would want. Our SRLS Series 9.5" billet would work well and comes with a 3 year warranty and 1 free stall change so when you do change your combo the converter can be changed to work with it.

I have a Yank SS3600 and it is a good converter. My car went 8.17 1/8 mile bone stock with the ss3600. Not even headers
