Default Are performabuilt transmission....

Wondering if anyone has done business with or bought a Performa Built transmission. Are they any good? Does anyone recommend them? Or go somewhere else?

Thanks for your input.......

They are very good. The level II 4l60e is capable of low 10's all day plus is supposidly still very streetable. I'm thinking of picking one up myself.

I have not personally done business with them. But they are always one of the first to answer anyones question in regards to transmission. I have been reading the auto section for the last 6 months researching m6 to A4 swap, an there always there to help out customers and non customers.. I would say Permforma, FLT, RPM.. Can't go wrong with any of them..

I have done been business with them and I have a Lvl 2 with about 7500 miles on it. They have some of the best customer service of any company I have dealt with, car related or not.

Just installed a level 2 in my 98 ws6. the stock tanny broke the case!!! at only 38k miles. so far this trans is awesome, great shifting, awesome customer service (the best possible i think), and for the price you cant go wrong at all. I highly recommend them. oh yeah i purchased the 2500 stall converter also, works great in a stock application car. one last thing, if you purchase a converter it comes with a 2 yr warranty!!

Frank is the man for sure! The first one I bought 3rd gear went out within hours of the install, I got a hold of frank and he took care of everything and got me a new one shipped out. No hassle, no hard feelings, and it didn't cost me a thing.

I've been running one every since then and it works like a charm. I definitely recommend Performabuilt

I've never had a problem with it.

I've got one for sale if anyone wants one. It's a tad over a year old and has less than 500 miles on it with 4 1/8th mile passes. I've got a th400 with a trans brake in there now. I just need that sold to get it finished up.

Thanks guys.
I guess it's settled then. I hear good things about other places. But there's more consistancy with Performabuilt I think.
