Tune required after stall?

Tune required after stall?
Obviously I know when you get a high stall, a tune is required to ensure lockup and proper everyday driving conditions, but I was getting a 3200 stall from Circle D (forgot the 'C' rating, if anyone could tell me, that'd be great.) And I was wondering if I could drive it a few days until I could get a retune. Or possibly just go without one until my next mod that requires it. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kyle

I don't think you can actually "Tune" for a converter. When I put a stall in my Buick T-Type, I emailed my chip tuner and he said he couldn't actually tune for it. Don't get me wrong, you could probably still get a tune to optimize your performance. Really the only thing that I think is tunable is the lock up speed.

you can search around to see just how bad that gets, but you're probably just going to want to drive it somewhere to get it tuned. if you have another mod coming up in the next few months that will need a tune, it might not hurt to post a new thread in your regional section for a request with someone who knows what they're doing in your area with hptuners or efi live. if you were in my area, i would do it for the cost of the credits used ($100 for hptuners) and a couple bucks for my time. also, consider that some dyno tuners won't charge full price for a stall tune.

Wow, awesome replys. I will probably just drive it for a while until have a couple bucks to get a retune. I was TQ management put a LITTLE back in, just because my transmission is on the last leg I think, but I should be getting a built 4L60 over summer along with some juice But I will also get PWM eliminated too. I didn't think 3200 was big enough to really worry too much.
