Auto Tranny Issue any help Appreciated! 2000 Trans Am Formula
Ok I have a 00 Formula, Have had it 2 Years put maybe 5000 miles on it take great care of it *126k total*, A few days ago I noticed an issue. It's a little tricky but I will explain the best I can. I was in Drive near 60mph I dropped to 3rd barely felt anything so I was like wtf was that, dropped to second it downshift perfect no issues, downshift to 1st not a SOUND. If I start in 1st no issue even shifts to second. In drive it shifts ok but at 50 and up if i let go of the gas the rpm's start to come down and i have to touch it lightly and it takes prob a sec and a half to engage but UNDER 50 it engages fine.... Tranny Fluid is Clear no Burnt smell no brown and no noises through any of this What so ever.... I think I covered it any Help is appreciated... Thank you

The 4th to 3rd thing is probably because you were already in 3rd without realising it so hence the no bump.
2nd to 1st will be locked out electronically if you are going too fast to prevent damage. Even if you manually select it on the stick, if the computer parameters aren't met it won't happen.
This comments I made are based on the assumption you have a stock box and tune.
