Anyone running a PerformaBuilt Level 3 4L60E come in please
My built transmission just gave up the ghost so I just ordered the Level 3 Transmission from PerformaBuilt. They advertise this transmission to be rated to handle 800 RWHP. With my set-up I'm probably running 600-650 RWHP on a 200 shot. My last trans lasted about 2 summers. Does anyone have experience running this level or higher HP with this transmission? If so, how long has it held up? How happy have you been with the performance? Appreciate hearing from anyone.....

I have the level 2 4l60e that's supposed to hold 700 hp and in 3 days I welded the reverse clutch to some other clutch and the zpack was fixin to go. I'm runnin a 220 cam in a 5.3 with 9 psi so I'm no where near 700. Just what I been through with mine.

Ran a LV2 4l60e P.B. for 3 years and was running 750 hp spraying the hell out of it. Gave it to my brother and he is using it in his camaro for over a year with no problems. Im currently running there t400 with my new set up with no issues.

Nice to hear....
Thanks for the feedback all. It was especially nice to hear the reliability on the Level 2 especially at the 750 HP level! I went with the Level 3 because the last built Transmission from a local shop in Canada lasted all of two summers. Many experienced racers seem to keep saying that if you race it will eventually break....something I'm thinking is very true....but we just can't help ourselves can we!

i've had my level 3 in since mid 2007 and ~25,000 miles @ 500rwhp. My pb converter just recently gave up, so I'll be getting the L3 refreshed. Otherwise, it has held up pretty good!

Thanks again!
Thanks again for the feedback. Nice to hear from someone with actual experience with a Level 3 especially after seeing the most felt the Level 2 stood up pretty well. Now the dreaded wait for the tranny to be shipped in time to be ready for track opening on April 16th!
