Got gears, now it's stall time!! What size?
I just got 3.73's installed last week. Now I am going to get a stall and tranny cooler. What size stall works beast for my mods? I was looking at a yank 3600. I don't dd the car. I'll get a cam someday down the road. Not sure when.

It makes a huge difference I'd say. The biggest difference I've noticed while modding my car has been the gears and the stall converter it really woke up the car. I'd take a stalled a4 over a m6 any day just for the fact of how hard it pulls

Also dont rule out a ~3600 stall. Is this car mostly driven on the street? Do you only take the car to the track and are you looking for max results? If your cam doesnt need a 4k stall to put it in the powerband I would go smaller (stock cam). Its more enjoyable to drive around with the tighter stall, although your 3:73's will help alot.

My mod list was more or less identical to yours until I added the stall a month ago. Much more fun to drive and seemed to get rid of all dead spots. Does take a little getting used to and I can't say I'd want to DD all the time. I drive mine on nice days and drive the beater on rainy days. Going WOT at anything under 35 mph results in some wheel spin, but I'm on BFG KDW's with over 25k miles on them that will need replaced next year. Try and find someone in your area with a stall and go for a ride to see if you'll like it, which I'm sure you will.
