Yes. The stall was my first mod, probably around 50,000 miles on it so far.
Car has 72,000 on it, tranny is just fine.
Fluid changed every year. Thats about it.

I got the biggest tranny cooler I could find. 29,200btu's and it seems to be holding up just fine.

Mine was acting up on 4xx rwhp. I purchased a RPM trans and she is holding up fine now with more power than before.

this

with 119k miles on it and 430 hp it went out after 7k miles. Rebuilt it close to stock and went out after 3k miles with a couple sprays.

Now I have an FLT stg VI so I shouldn't ever worry about it again.

According to the wiki (however reliable that is) the stock 4l60e's are rated to 360ftlbs.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_4L60-E_transmission

Horsepower doesn't kill a transmission, torque does.

See sig for mods/power numbers.

At 104,000 miles, it's still running strong. Nary a hiccup.

I'll post back up if it dies this Friday. It's getting sprayed outta the hole on a 27.7" Drag Radial.
