Default Vig3600 vs SS3600

I've only had the Vig3600 in my '02 WS6 and was thinking about getting
another one for my '02 SS. I loved my Vig3600. At 850rpm idle the car would
roll on its own similar to a stock stall. Does the SS3600 stall creep at idle like the Vig. stall? Is the SS3600 a better performer over the Vig.?
Thanks guys.

I do remember guys tearing up their pump seals with the Yanks in the past.
Was that only a isolated issue or what? I know at one time FLT didn't like the Yanks
cause they were cause tranny issues and sending debris on the tranny. I like to know more about the SS3600.

if you are happy with your vigilante stall, then just go ahead with a vigilante. you have experience with a good product, so just keep it. im happy with my vigilante 3200.

I was about to say the same thing. That said my FTI 3600 is great, on flat ground it rolls just like stock off idle(like 650 rpm).

I love my yank3600. It's very stock like at most speeds until you got over half throttle.

Only experience I have with vig was a 4000 in my buddies t/a. It felt really really loose compared to mine. After he rode in another guys car with a yank3600 he liked the feel better and wanted to switch. Not sure how much was the brand difference and how much was the 3600 vs 4000.

I have had a VIG 3200 and a VIG 3600 I like them both. If you like you vig and dont have any issues why not stick with a proven product?

^^ you have a good point. I didn't have one issue with my Vig3600 #7.
And a buddy of mine liked my WS6 with the Vig. He wanted one. He wanted a Vig.3200.
His 2002 SS A4 was bone stock and ran 12.01 at 111 mph with a Vig3200, and the 216/220 114lsa that i used. Thats awesome gains from only 2 mods. I think he also had the Blackwing air lid that SLP installed on some SS's. But no headers and stock CB and he ran those times. I was shocked even though i did his tuning and drove the car. It was fast for only a cam and stall. So i know the Vig3200 works really good and flashes to
3,800 rpm with power. Its the best of both worlds. I know they raised the STR to 2.5 on the Vig3200 and 3600 converters. Even though PI doesn't actually use the term STR but they use some other term. But its all good. Thanks guys for your help. Appreciate it.

Your best option would be to "Yank that Vig and throw it away" then buy a CircleD. LOL ... All joking aside they are all good converters just stick with what you know. My Circle D 4C+ was as loose as they come, and now my 2C is a tight 3500 stall. Chris at Circle D will build a converter to fit your specific application, it's not just an off the shelf converter. Also if you are not satisfied with the results Chris will do a one time restall at no charge.

they are all great products man. whether its yank, circle D, vigilante or so fourth. if you have never had any problems, then just stick to it.

ive had my vigilante 3200 for almost 2-3 years. it drives so much like stock, and hits pretty damn good and pulls. i have no experience with other brand stalls. i myself have thought about upping to a 4k stall. but i will never ever see the track, and my car is just a fun daily driver street car, ill just probably keep my 3200.

I know what you mean. I liked my Vig3600. It turned my WS6 into a monster
when i jumped on it. But i was impressed with the Vig3200. Guys at the track
were still cutting 1.57 to 1.60 60' times. And it MPH'd pretty good as well.
I'll take everyones advise and stick with PI. I was curious about the SS3600
stall from some of the post i read. Thanks all you guys for your input. Thats
one less thing to think about when it comes to building a strong setup.
