ok so from what you could see the parts needed for complete install were not there right? So look at this one from jegs. It is the same one, but the have the fittings with it for the same price.

http://www.jegs.com/i/B%26M/130/70274/10002/-1?CT=999

So the jegs comes with the fittings and summit does not? Look at both those and tell me what you think. Thanks

I bought the cooler you linked above. I got 2 1/2" NPT to 5/16 hose barb fittings. And got 10' of trans hose. Then got some misc bolts/nuts [don't remember what size. I took the cooler with me to see what fit]. Then I just rigged up some brackets on the car to hold it on using the existing air dam holes.

I know a lot of guys on here just use the install kits without issue. You should be golden. I went with brackets so I could hold it off of the radiator. I didn't want mine sitting right against it. You can't really tell from that pic but the cooler is about an inch or so off of the radiator.

And I have the fittings pointing towards the passenger side. The cooler is mounted far over on the drivers side. Mine is mounted in line with the stock cooler too [not bypassed]. I know there is a pretty big debate on which is preferred so I won't go into detail there [enough info is found by searching]. I ran mine that way since that is what Chris at CircleD recommended when I got my converter from him. I trust his judgment and he made very convincing points.

the 70264 is on 5.75 X 11 X 1&1/2 So the height on that one compared to the 70274 is about 6" less. Will that keep my tranny cool enuf?

if the 70264 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-70264/ will be big enuf than I think I will go with it. It comes with the kit and everything I need I think, so now all I need to know is if that will keep my tranny plenty cool?

And also what method is preffered? Running through the radiator? or bypassing the radiator straight to the cooler? From what im reading it looks better to run through radiator also. I know it is debatable just wanting some more opinions than the ones I have read.

most preferred methodis to completely bypass the rad... Ive got the first cooler u mentioned the 074 and i got it off fleabay for 60 bucks, when it arrived i just mad some 3/4" spacers from rubber and put holes into them then used a universal install kit to mount it. The fittings and hose were about 10 bucks at ace its been in almost a yr now with no complaints.

I've been running the 70264in my car for 7 months now .. Seems to work fine.. Don't mean to hi jack, but I bought Goodyear transmission hose instead of braided hose.. No leaks so far, but have wondered if I should go with braided lines when I finally get my tranny rebuilt...
