Default What mail order tune for Yank stall?

I have a tune by Frost now. It's a great tune for a bolt on car. I really like it. Should I have them retune my pcm for the Yank ss 4000 stall I bought? Or is there a better way to go? No one in my area really knows how to tune that well.

Yeah, frost has probably tuned a bunch of cars with Yank converters. I wouldn't doubt he could do it no sweat.

Ya, I talked with him and it sounds like he knows how to tune for a stall. I'd love a dyno tune, but one place wants $1000.00 and the other place close to me blew up 2 cars that I know.

$1000 wow that's unreal. How is that shop still in business? To be honest you might not even need a tune. I know sometimes guys have to adjust the shift points and that misfire chart but sometimes you don't. When I put my stall in I didn't have to change a single parameter.

If you can afford to possibly have the car down for some more time I would put the stall in and see if you have to make any changes. Then if you do ship the PCM to Frost.

I personally wouldnt even entertain the idea of going to someone with no track record for tuning our cars. If you did a search for vendors or possible well known lsx tuners and cant come up with a good "in person" dyno tune then I say go for the frost mail order. Mail order will never be like getting a real dyno tune but frost knows his stuff so thats peice of mind.
You have absolutly no options for a well known tuner for a real dyno tune? I played that game before and wasted time with idiots tuning my car. Now I drive 1 1/2 hrs to slowhawk in ma and its well worth it.
