Default problem with trans after new motor

guys,

i installed my new 383 LT1 a few days ago and i have a problem with my 4l60e shifting under load. the trans was rebuilt 10k ago and worked fine up until i installed this new motor. the trans has a stock stall worked by Circle D to around 2500.

the car drives fine, i can drive it all day long in all gears. the problem is when going form 2nd to 3rd under load. the trans will basically just slip like all hell up at around 6k and redline. it also does it from 1st to 2nd sometimes.

i have an engine light on for the MAF and O2 sensor. i cant remember what code went away after i cleared them but only one came back. the codes are p0154 and p0103.

i need to know if these codes above could be causing this problem or not???? or any other issues that might cause this. the trans worked fine before the new motor so maybe you guys might have some answers or suggestions. the fluid is full and the car has been dyno tuned, the same tuner has been tuning the car and he did not touch trans on this last tune so it should be shifting exactly the same.

thanks

That is strange... is the new motor tuned for the tranny? Shift points, rev limiter?

What I am getting at is if the shift/rev lim worked with your old set up this "new" set up may need to be adjusted accordingly - worth a shot anyway. Also, when you say the trans was built - what stage was it built too 3-4?

Not a trans expert but it is just beefed up a little. The trans has high prrformance clutches, wider band, shift kit and a hardened sunshell.

That's exactly what I thought about the trans in the tune but the tuner said it didn't really matter. He said he would l

That's exactly what I thought about the trans in the tune but the tuner said it didn't really matter. He said he would look at the tune if I brang it back to him. He is a very respectful guy, his name is chuck anders. Bringing it back will be the next steb.

anyone know of a good argument that i could have with the tuner regarding him not doing anything to the trans on the tune for the new motor. he makes a good point saying the trans does not need to be adjusted if it is the same trans??? what could need to be adjusted?

it was the fluid. i had a guy fix the head studs for me and he said he had to add some trans fluid, i took his word and never checked it.... i now have enough fluid and it is fast as ****. its always the easy things, i just f-ed up by not checking it first.
