Midwest 3400 2.0 TC. Been in my car for 6 months and runs great. Great prices and will build the TC to the specs you want them. No times before or after the converter install but it's a vast improvement.

I have 2 of them in my 4l60e's. Never had a minutes trouble with the first one. When I put the 2nd truck together I wanted to try a Yank but, the month long wait, increased price and the fact that I never could get a hold of anyone there that seemed to know anything persuaded me to have another Midwest built.
Now I am doing a 4l80 conversion and I am going with another Midwest. IMO for the money they are hard to beat.

Love the one in my CE. Have one to go in the Formula also. Actually became a distributor for them and most of the auto guys in my area have them and love them. Defiantely the best bang for the buck.

what have you guys been seeing on the dyno locked vs. unlocked with your midwest converters?
i like mine...but i think i would like a 3600-3800 better...
eventually the car will see a 150 shot from the line...thats why the small converter...
i pulled a 1.78 sixty on et streets...i should be able to get that down to a flat 1.7 on motor...
this stall pulled a 1.50 on another car spraying from the line

3600/2.5str here and I love it. have cut a best 60ft of 1.68 on nitto drags. If you get one I would recomend a trans go shift kit because the converter makes the shifts way too soft, even with increased line pressure threw the hpp3. I just had the shift kit installed and the differance is night and day.

How is the converter around town in traffic? I'm looking into a similar converter for my daily driven car.

The converter is just fine in traffic, after you drive it around a bit you wont even know its in there until you drive or ride in another ls1 a4 with a stock one in it.

I had a 3400 2.5 in my old Trans Am, it was awesome. Made my car scare people. Now that I'm driving my new one, I can't help but feel something is missing. This car feels a lot stronger up top than my old one did stock, so I know a converter will wake her up big time.
Get a Midwest, you'll love it. My next converter decision will be based on price, and I bet Midwest wins.

I had a Y3000 with a 2.0str but I got tired of having the tach go past 2200 just to get the car moving. Got a MW2400 with at 2.5str and it leaves just as hard and drives much better.
