dont waste time with a factory convertor. Even a high stall on a stock engine will be a night and day difference for you.

i am not thinking of using a factory converter, i just want to get an idea in my head of where the stall is at now so that i can get an idea of how different it will be once i put in a new yank. now that you got me talking about it it i am conflicted about what speed stall to put in. my planned mods are afr 205 heads, (still trying to pick a cam), a fast intake, bbk headers and ory, and not sure what muffler yet. i am going to try and do all mods at once. i daily drive my car in the summer and it will probably never go to the track (except for once just to see what it does) but i would like to waste the local fox bodys here in metro detroit. a lot of people seem to go with a 3600 stall. how streetable is that?

Stock is gonna be around 17/1800. I have heard of bolt on only guys being able to foot brake the stock stall on slicks to 1700....though foot braking isn't a perfect indicator of true stall speed, I would say in that case it would be pretty close.

depending on what rear gear you use and which tire....

3600 for more street duty to 4200 more track orientated

good luck!

Thanks for chiming in, i already have the 3:73s to put in (forgot to mention that) and i was thinking about the ms4 or ms3 wasn't sure yet. if yours is good on the street with the ms4 that will probably be my choice. Thanks for the help.
