Question Re-tune for higher stall converter?

I just ordered a Yank SS3600 and was wondering if it would be necessary to re-tune the car. Opinions and answers would be great.

Thanks, Colby.

Usually no tune is needed unless lockup/unlocking becomes a issue or idle is effected.

You will usually need a tune with that big of a stall. I had to get one with mine cuz I was tappin the rev lim. Put it in and drive it. If it hits rev limiter or has lock-up problems get a tune

There is a seperate tune for the transmission if I recall correctly, so yes, I would go ahead and get a tune for it.

Not sure what you mean here. The tune is all in the PCM and is the same in a F-body.

I don't know if that's true for all cars, I know GM after 2005 started using both ECM's as well as PCM's in certain vehicles and those can each be tuned. My point in my previous post was that I believe that there are separate tables that can be dialed in for the transmission. I'm not a professional qualified tuner though, so if I'm completely wrong maybe someone who knows more can chime in and correct me, but I'm just trying to help out a little here.
