Exclamation weird vibration jerk feeling accelerating??

as the title states. I just my car back today it has pretty much sat for 2 weeks, i got it back today and its an A4 im going down the road, 1st gear and a little of 2nd there is a weird vibration/ jerk sound/ motion i know its in the drive line. I don't know if the trans is slipping (4l60e) or bad u-joint? or the rear is being stupid idk. Thanks

im having the same problem. i switched to the umi torque arm and relocation crossmember. i also replaced the trans mount which was torn on one side with a new factory one. opened up the stock 10 bolt and it looked fine and the fluid was clean. any ideas? its like a vibration on light to moderate throttle. heavy throttle i dont notice as much but maybe a little bit.

booooooooooooooooooooo ;-) i dont know... if nobody has any ideas than i guess ill prob bite the bullet and replace the rear and the trans all at the same time. they are both stock and have nearly 80,000 miles on them so i guess its probably time anyways.

Since no one else has replied, let me take a shot...

It is extremely rare for a properly working 4L60E to start vibrating.
(There have been some reports of the rebuilds with The Beast sunshell having vibration problems, but even that is only felt in 3rd gear.)

I've read many thousands of posts here and these vibration problems are nearly always the trans mount, the driveshaft, the rear end, the rear brakes or even the rear tires/wheels.
Also, replacing the trans mount with a poly one (instead of stock rubber) often leads to vibration problems.

Well, thanks that was pretty helpful. I guess for now Ill wait on getting a trans and see if a strange 12 bolt fixes the problem. thanks again

oh ok. no its definitely not a misfire. its something underneath the car not in front of me under the hood. its either right under my seat or further back so its driveline related. engine is also fine revving it in neutral.

Did the problem just start happening by itself, or did it start after some event (work done under car, hit object on road, ...)...?

Under seat or further back:
transmission mount and driveshaft were mentioned above, are these broken/loose/worn...?

Is torque arm rubber mount in worn out condition (probably this in combination with worn/broken trans mount).

When you accelerate sharply the broken trans mount lets the trans extension housing bump upward into the floor, and the worn broken torque arm rubber mount lets the torque arm make metallic sound.

problem started when i was on the highway. the road was curved slightly and i was going all out flooring it when all of a sudden i felt a vibration. almost like a flutter. then driving around it felt like something was loose under my seat and the vibration/feeling would happen under acceleration.

the trans mount was torn so i replaced that. the torque arm was also slightly bent so i replaced it with a umi one and relocated it off the tailshaft.

now it doesnt feel like theres anything loose under the seat anymore but i still get the driveline vibration under basically almost any type of acceleration. its very noticeable to the point where i wouldnt drive the car more than a mile from my house because it feels like something is gonna give out.
