Default Spacer so I can use a sbc converter behind my LS Motor ?

I am buying a PTC converter to run behind my LQ9 this summer at the track.

This fall I will put this PTC converter behind my old Gen I sbc (and sell it)
Since I will be going turbo and using a different converter.

Is there anybody out there that makes a spacer so I can just buy a standard sbc style converter and space it so it fits in the crank of my LSX motor?

PTC said they can weld a stub on to the converter so it will fit in the LSX crank.
But then I would have to ship it back to them in the fall and have them turn it off so I could mount it behind my sbc Gen I small block.

TIA, Zach

It depends on what transmission(s) you are using.

We have a SFI flexplate and Pilot extender for your application. Only thing I need to know is if it is a dual boleti pattern converter. Meaning, 2 holes on each pad.

Thanks guys I really apreciate it. The lsx motor already has a tci sfi ls specific flywheel.
And the sbc already has a tci sfi flywheel.
I will call ptc right now and see if the converter is a dual bolt pattern

So it looks like if I just have them make a standard sbc TH 350/400 converter then all I will need is the spacer to be able to bolt it to the sbc motor and flywheel. Does that sound correct?

I would try one of these, it will be the cheapest option at $43. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUP-HP3795/
Then you would have to elongate the holes in the TCI LS flexplate to fit the SBC verter if it has the 6 bolt holes for the 4l80 pattern.

Yes, sounds like you will just need the pilot extender. If PTC is still building the converter, they might have a screw on pilot and can send you both options for your combos. Might be a possibility.

Circle D, I bought a 4l80e with stock converter out of a '99 box truck that was behind a 5.7 sbc. Will the pilot extender work to use the stock verter with an ls1 for the 4l80 converters? I have a tci flexplate with dual bolt pattern on it, so three of the holes should line up to bolt the converter up I would assume. I appreciate any help you can give me, thanks!

The TCI plate has the dish built into it, so it does not need the spacer. But if you have the dual pattern version, it will not fit the 4L80 OE converter. The Dual has the LS and LT bolt pattern. You need to either get the 4L80 TCI version or the flat OE style with the spacer.
