Question Stall guys what Tires are you running.

I've got a full bolt on car with 3.42 gears and a 3600 stall (which I just installed) and for some reason I have this problem with hooking up on the street .. Andything under about 40 is a smoke show. and from a dead stop we don't even want to discuss it. So basicly I was wondering what kinds of tires are you guys are running that give you "some" chance on hooking up.. I currently have Gforce KDWS tires all around. I would rather not go bfg or nitto but I'll do what I got to.

i don't have a full bolt-on car but i do roast the stock tires also and i can light up the nitto's if they aren't nice and hot. so I suggest you get a nitto for the street and baby it out the hole

I have Firehawks SZEP 50s sitting out back now. Next pair will be Nitto DRs.

Practice makes perfect.

SR71, if your car is a '00 or newer you could do a second gear start. Just don't let the tranny temps get too high.

i annihilate 245-50-16 nitto 555R DR's on the street running street pressure 25psi hot.

At the track i go down to 13(after burnout 15-16, yeah baby) then it hooks alright.

My car unfortunately produces more torque than the nitto's can handle at the strip. Simply putting my bro's ET streets on made it well just hook.

So rather than dick around tearing up my nitto's im gonna go find some nice street tires that last longer and not street race. And get some ET street's.

problem is im down to the point where its not safe to drive on highway (rain) after 5000 miles and 2 track events. That blows for paying $330 (installed) for tires.

if you're gonna street race, do it right, put on the ET's and linelock and win some races.

I run the KDWS on the street and I feather the pedal if the time comes for a challenge. But I have a set of ET streets in the garage for the track.

2800 stall, lid, cut out and free mods and I run BFG DRs full time, street and track...might be going back to Nitto DRs for the street only though eventually.

i was pulling mid 1.6s with a TCS 3400 2.5 STR on a 17 inch nitto (275s)

my new converter hits harder when flashed right so im predicting low 1.6s on the same tire.....

nittos are GREAT if you get em nice and hot.
