ss3600 impressions from anti stall guy
Well I got my ss3600 installed yesterday and all I can say is WOW. You guys weren't lying the thing drives extremely close to stock Untill you mash it . For the longest time I wanted to to swap a ls6 cam or baby cam for the stock converter....I'm glad I didn't. It takes a very small bump of the pedal to get moving and sometimes not even that much. My exhaust note did get slightly louder due to the increased rpm's but thats it. The usual dead spot at 35 or 40 mph is gone as the converter flashes to around 4800 and then shifts at 6000. First gear on a slick street below 20 mph and u floor it .......hello black marks and tire smoke. When accelerate in first the rpm's climb to about 3 grand before shifting into 2nd. If you put less pedal into it it will shift a little lower. I was worried that a 3600 was gonna be too much but wow,I'm sure a 4000 would be no problem because the 3600 is a dream!! To me it kind of feels like when u have a m6 in a gear at higher rpm's and u hold it there,I can tap the pedal and the rpm's jump and the car will lurch with power. I will say this if your thinking about a converter the ss3600 is amazing, also while your getting it replaced and your tranny is out you may want to replace your rear main seal. For anyone worried about it,just stop I was anti stall for a couple years on now I'm extremely excited when I look across my living room at the boxes that contain a 228r and prc stage 2.5 heads. The only problem I have with this converter is traction....and that's a problem I can live with!

Sweet. I've always been a manual performance car guy until my ws6. I've always questioned if it would like a stall. Thanks for the review.
I would still like to drive one with a stall before I sink the cash into it.

It drives amazing,on the way home tonight I put the cruise control on through town at 35 mph I was rolling at 1100 rpm's. I can't believe how easy it is to drive! I really wish I would have gone with a 4000. I can't wait for my head and cam install.

My tranny is stock, however my tuner did add a transcooler and a new flexplate from yank. I'm not sure what size but I know its big. It mounts under the air lid area so if you have the slp flopac kiss that metal piece of duct bye bye. Its so much fun to drive and easy as **** too. I really wish I would have gone with a 4k. Car sounds much more throaty due to the higher rpms and now I can't wait till my head and cam install.
