Default Whats wrong with my tranny?

Today I was driving normal and then I slowed down to 10 mph and down shifted to first and floored it. All of the sudden it redlined so I shifted to second And it wasent going any where. I pulled over checked the fluid and it was fine, so then I put it in D and it bearly move at high rpm. I tried all the other gears and the same out come. I have a 3800 stall with a cam.
Can anyone please help. Thanks.

Hey, when you loose your sunshell you'll loose 2nd,4th and reverse, sometimes depending on the break you manage reverse for alittle while, I hope this helps ....Dave

It turned out to be the torque converter ( tci competition 3800 ). I put the stock one back in and know it runs fine. I only had the converter on for about 3 weeks. I guess I will be sending it back for replacement.

If you lose 2nd, you will still have 3rd gear. TCI's are one torque converter that I will not warranty of of my 700R4/4L60E's behind. I have seen too many problems with them over the years. With TH350-400's, they have ok.
