Default Maddog transmission

Has anyone ever used this company to build their transmission. I was searching the web to get my 4l60e built to support 650 hp. Doing a 5.3 w/preventive parts and a 75mm turbo

When doing a search, you shall find what you seek. There is quite a bit of info if you look around.

Thanks, but you really haven't added any value with your comments. I would prefer a link or something along those lines

I didn't realize trying to steer a member to a trans builder with a better track record is hating. Note taken

Stay clear of their transmissions. IMO a a turbo should have an 80e.

Dude told him to google it which would have led him to a plethora of horror stories from ol' Lou down in GA.

How is that a worthless 2cent?

Ok....here's my 2 cents......I would ask local cars guys, or make some calls and try to find a good local builder based on reputation and service....that is what I am doing.

My concern with a non local builder is what happens if you have a problem? Sure, the good ones will back up their product, but how long does it take to get it resolved?

I rather just have a local guy I can take it to if something goes wrong.

Young sir, you have no idea what it is to have manners. Mad dog became a big time sponsor here a while back. Notice his "platinum" status whatever the hell that is. They don't like it when you bash paying vendors. My polite response was try searching, as I was trying to be a gentleman about it. What I really meant was: based on what I read by tons of other forum members, mad dog will rip you off and sell you junk in a heartbeat. There I said it are you happy now?

01,

The information you just posted is what I was looking trying to find. I am not sure why so many of you have to be ******** on this site and sites like these. I asked a simple question... Thanks for the information you just provided. If you would have done this in the beginning, I would have found out your opinion of what you have experienced or heard about the shop. I don't take these comments personally because I don't know any of you personally...

JB, I am looking locally, but I am stationed here and have two years left... so I was trying to find a good shop on the Mainland...

Thanks to everyone that added valued comments.

You just have to understand that it is annoying to see someone ask whether a product is good or not when it is all over place how terrible and shady the company is. Sure you probably didn't know that so you ask, makes sense. But all we ask is that you use the search feature or google ls1tech mad dog transmissions or something like that and read first. You would have found it answered sooner than making a thread. If your question isn't answered after a search, the community as a whole would be more than happy to offer advice and opinions!

There are many good vendors that have great products, RPM, FLT, Jakes to name a few
