Manual Valve body for a stock A4?
What do you guys think? Do they even sell these for a stock tranny and where could i get it? I want to shift the tranny manually. I will be putting in a 3800 stall in a month so would this be a bad idea then? I do not really know much about auto tranny's. I just know that shifting it from 1 to 2 to 3 to OD is not good unless you have a manual valve body. Help me out if you could.

Go to http://pro-built.net/index.cfm?fusea...&productid=183 this will make the 4L60E a full manual and it uses the vacuum modulator. If I can be of help, let me know?

Is this any harder, than a normal shift kit, on your transmission??? Does this put a lot of stress on it, heat build up,etc?? How would this effect daily driving, racing, etc??
Not to steal your thread, but is there a way to put a "Trans Brake" on our trannys?? (4L60E)

There crap and wont hold up to the abuse no matter who builds it. If your over 450rwhp then a 4L80E is a way better choice or a 3 speed th-400 or th-350.

I know you have been researching 3 speeds so who would you choose as a builder? Rossler?

I paid an extra $300 for the 4L65 input shaft. One beauty of the rossler transmission is when you do freshen it up he only charges $545 plus any hard parts. Time will tell for me how well his transmissions hold up. My suggestion is that you call Carl and talk to him on the phone he spent alot of time answering all my questions. Did i want to spend the kind of money he charges? hell no, but I dont want to be like some ive seen posting that they are going through 1 transmission after another. Id rather pay to do it right the first time IMHO

Rosslers builds a awesome tranny. Mine finally arrived on Friday, th350, race version, with heavy duty everything...Carl the owner is great for answering questions, and you can always get ahold of somehwere their... There are several people in the area that are running Rosslers th400 with well over 600 rwhp and many track runs. The only thing to remember its a 3 speed no overdrive...but who needs over dirve?

i've had no experience with a manual valve body in a 4L60E and wonder why you'd want one since you can already manually shift it and really don't need to. just program the shift points where you want them and put it in drive. i think the 4L60E and 65E are plenty strong when built with the right parts and built properly, but i'd never run a transbrake on one since i don't think it could handle that. as for rossler, in my opinion they are the number one trans company to me and i've learned alot of little stuff from them that has helped me in building them.
