Default jakes trans brake..4l80e 3d or 1d .. anybody run them? reviews

I am in the process of having my 4l80e built looking to purchase a trans brake . I like the idea of leaving it in 3rd and just hit the gas but I haven't found many people running them . So I am hoping that some people out there have them or the regular one to see what they think.

I wish I went with the electric version vs the drop down to manual first version.

Afraid I will slam it up into [D] after launching since I have a stock shifter.

I went with the Jakes 4L80E, computer controlled and a D3 transbrake. I don't have the transmission yet, but it's all positive reviews from the guys at Jakes.

We have hundreds of both models out there. Approx 300 D3s at this point based on production runs of parts, too many D1s to estimate anymore. Probably near 1000.

There are quite a few threads on this forum with feedback to include videos.

I can't force customers to respond to your post to give feedback, my feedback is biased since I designed the brakes due to a lack of satisfactory product on the market in my experience.

I have the drive 1 and love it, I use the stock shifter and filed down the teeth on the shifter so the shifter moves to 3rd with just a bump but doesn't allow it to go into drive.
