Default Is this normal for a 4L80e??

I had my trans rebuilt last month and plan on installing this friday. Everything looks good and turns over smooth ect but I was curious about the input and output shaft. Are they independent of each other? Because when I rotate either one, they do not affect each other. I could have swore that when I dealt with my first 4L80e that when I rotated the output shaft in gear that it would make the smaller "center" input shaft rotate. That isnt the case here, they both rotate smooth with a "normal Draginess" but they have no affect on each other in gear. Just inspecting it on the bench beforehand.

They are independent. That's how the trans is able to shift gears and have different output shaft speeds at the same input speed.
