Default 2002 z28 4l60e removal

Hey guys I'm in the process of removing my trans. I've got everything done all the way up to removing the top bell housing bolts but I'm stuck. Best way to reach the top bolts?

Did you remove transmission mount? The engine needs to be tilted back along with yhe transmission to reach those bolts

Yes removed mount and crossmember. Was reading that exhaust needed to be unmounted? Would it be enough to remove it at the axle or remove my headers?

the trans has to be tilted down to get to the top bolts and you will need a bunch of extensions and a swivel joint to reach them

Yep remove the trans mount and let the engine and trans sag. Grab yourself a super long extension and swivel, and you should be able to get to them no problem.

I will have to let you know when it's finished. Going through some trans issues and I don't get as much time to work on it as I'd like to.
