Default Trans Swap Question

So I am getting frustrated and am not getting any phone calls or emails returned from a few local shops so I am now going the th400 swap on my own.

I am figuring out the flex plate and converter currently and thats where my question comes from. From what I see I have two options since I have to buy a flex plate no matter what.

I can 1: factory replacement with a converter made to go from that to a th400 or 2: Get the ls1 to th400 flex plate and use a th400 converter.

Is there any benefits to one of those options than the other? The TH400 specific converter ones look a little bit cheaper. Is that it?

I was thinking the FTI level 3 rmvb with a yank converter, a ratchet shifter, figure out the trans cooler stuff as its going together and measure for the drive shaft. So all I have left is the converter and flex plate decision.

Thanks!

Whichever way is the cheapest is the only advantage of going one way or the other.

Insanity, We can make the converter fix your flex plate as stock. We keep meziere billet flex plates in stock as well. I have coolers and complete cooler line kits in stock as well. I also keep the billet yokes for a 400. Isnt much we don't have!!

This is the great advantage of buying a converter from a sponsor like FTI.
They pretty much build each converter to order and can often substitute parts at no (or little) additional charge.
