Default Converter recommendation.......1,000 RWHP....Stage 4 4L80E...?

Read through a few posts, but most deal with drag race cars.

Single turbo 390ci.....we are hoping for 1,000 RWHP through my new stage 4 4L80E. Installing it soon.

What would you guys recommend for a 100% roll racer/street car. I've talked with a couple vendors who make converters, wanted to ask you guys what works well for your cars.

You think a 4,000 stall triple disc would work well.

i am in a similar boat as you boat with a th400 which will be used at the same application as you, roll/racer street car type deal. 1000whp My setup is th400. 3.25/3.08 rear 28 inch tire. ill know in about a month if my stall is ok or not. its a 4500...idk how im gonna like it. and its a flash 4500 from what im told.

you seem to be on the right track on the stall. triple disc for sure. what turbo size?

Its the Huron Speed single kit. S484 turbo. 10.2:1 cr. Full time E85. I will also have 3.08 rear gears.

FTI recommended a 4,000 stall.

We have about identical setups. Minus the 80e. My CR is 9.8. Pump gas tune first then e85. Do they offer one free stall speed/tightness correction?

I think they do.....not sure.

With my 427ci stroker I had a Vig 3600 and really liked that for street driving. I'm wondering if 3600 will be fine with a 1,000 RWHP turbo set-up too.

that's right, 1 free re-stall within the first year of purchasing the converter.
