Just curious. How many of you have STOCK (auto.) transmissions, have over 60k miles and use nitrous every now and then?? How's it holding up? Thanx.

I have 89,xxx miles and my tranny is holding up fine. I try not to use nitrous through the shifts but I have accidentally used it through the shifts about 5-10 times with a 100 shot. I did just change my converter and my old converter had some minor scratches on it, if that has anything to do with anything??

Im on my 3rd tranny this year, I have heads and cam plus TNT 150. This one in it now has a transgo shift kit in it and its taking an assbeating like a champ. I spray on everything I won't run stuff without the bottle.

the rear sprag is a very weak link on these trannys and is the hardest part to get at
if you want these trannys to hold update the front and rear planet gears to 5 pinion
and the sprag to the corvete type--i've had my tranny out 5 times this summer
so i'm fairly sure of what i'm talkin about --my car is a low to mid 11 on motor-and i have broke all of the above
