Default Broken Tail shaft on the dyno today.

Yep it broke
I did a search a seen a few posts of this happening ,and seems kinda common.

Many dyno pulls to this point, but it finally gave. I hope to just replace the tail shaft but haven't taken it out yet to see.

So i'm looking for a part # for the tail shaft and how much these cost?

Thanks

Can't help you on the P/N, but if you are still using the factory (or aftermarket) Torque Arm - I would highly suggest getting one like the Spohn unit that attaches to the body of the car in the tunnel brace area rather than on the tailshaft of the tranny after you replace your tailshaft housing.

I've had it on the dyno probally 10 times total ,It just wouldn't hold for that 11th pass.I took it off today and everything looks ok,i'm just going to replace the housing and see how it does.Took a quick pic of it.

Yours look like this? lol

Steel drive shaft here. About 15 Dyno pulls and 30 track passes along with daily driving. I do have a haevy duty BMR TA mounted to the tail shaft with a poly mount though. Guess I've been lucky

Wow, you lucked-out. Do regular 700s have 6 bolts?

I don't know for sure but from what I hear the 4 bolt is more common than the 6 bolt pattern.
