Default please help before i spend the money

first of my trans slips when it shifts into 3rd no matter how much throttle i give it. if im at wot it bounces of rev limiter. also while cruisin if i puch it down to second it slips badly. I have a basic knowledge of the trans so i hope i could do it mayself. please help before i spend way to much on a rebuild. by the way it is a 4l60e. thanks

Save yourself the headache and lots of $$$ and just have you a TH400 built and be done with it. You lose the overdrive but the 4L60 isn't good for holding horsepower.I have learned this the hard way and about $3000!!!

im not makin or goin to make alot of power. i need to know if my trans problem can easily be fixed without a full rebuild. is the th400 a direct bolt on. if not what do i need?

good question, im in the same pot of hot water. the local trans guy quoted me $700 for a rebuild on my 4L60E. i kinda need the overdrive though..

You can build a 4l60e to take plenty of power, people give up on these for what reason I have no idea. well youy should be fine with a better then stock rebuild if you are not runnin 10 second passes.
