Default 4L60E Help PLEASE!!!

Need some help I just broke my 4th 4l60e in just a few months and thats cause this was beefed up some with blue clutches, racing servo & the other normal stuff. I'm tired of these damm local tranny shops over charging then the same **** happening over & over. So basically I need to know where I can just get a badass tranny that with hold up for a resonable price. So what do you guys recommend?? I'm located in South Texas if that helps any. I'v heard of a place in the Dallas/Fort Worth area called Rock on Transmissions or something like that. Does anyone know anything about them good/bad? I'v also cosidered upgrading to an 4l80e...Are they any good? Also I dont want a TH350 car is driven daily. Any Help would be greatly appreciated...

whats been braking?

stay away from the blue clutches, stick with the regular borg warner for all the packs except for the 3-4 clutches, get the raybestos Z-pack. NOT alto

Well on the other tranny's my 3rd & 4th gear were fried. It seems the same thing just happened to this one also. 1st to 2nd ok then 2nd to 3rd nothing just rev's same thing with 3rd to 4th exept it catches gear in the higher rpm's.

Whats the problem with the blue clutches? Also is 3rd & 4th messing up a common thing?

There are a few guys here that run those Rock on trannys(I thought they were going to become a sponcer) and they had nothing but good things to say about them. Do a search for "rock on" in this forum and you should find the thread

Call Dave/Matt at Rock-On in Denton/Krum Texas and they will take care of you. Tell them exactly what you plan to do with the car.

If your 3-4's are getting fried then they definitly are not using the Z-pack from Raybestos.
just get those put in and your tranny will be fine.

If you have had it rebuilt that many times and all the other parts are holding up, then your ok. either because there good enough or the heavy duty stuff has been put in on one of the rebuilds

Ya thats what keeps on happening. Where can I get the Z-pack for the 3rd-4th. That way I can try and keep a damm tranny together. Also whats wrong with the blue clutches? Will it be ok if I keep those blue clutches in there?
