Auto Meter,of course! you can attach the sender to a pressure tap in the trans or using some brass fittings you can mount it in your trans cooler line, pressure side (from trans) so you can see what the trans temp is actually running at to see if your cooler is doing its job.

When I was researching...there's a couple of different brand gauges, Autometer being the most popular. Go with electric, no matter which brand you go with. Manual need to be mounted outside the car. I think they make something to mount the manual inside the car, but it's just easier to do the electric because then you don't have to worry about a line with tranny fluid running up to the gauge and back. Autometer sells an adapter to mount the electric sender unit in the tranny line, but you can get the same thing from the autoparts store. My mechanic got a t fitting and the adapters from the autoparts store for ~$10 compared to about ~$50 for Autometer's version. You can also mount the sender in the side of tranny which in that case you don't need any other adapters. The only other thing besides an adapter (depending on where you mount it) would be more electrical wire. When my installation was done, the amount included with the gauge wasn't quite enough.

I just put a Autometer in my car as well. Made a mount for it down by the cig lighter in a Camaro. I'm thinking about switching to a Cyberdyne though because the gauge will sometimes jump over to 250 degrees and then come back to 160 degrees after I drive a bit. I think the gauge is screwed up. The Cyberdyne gauge goes from 0-350 degrees, is electric, uses the same type sender as the Autometer, and is the same price, plus digital looks pretty cool IMHO. Good Luck!

guys, for installing a water temp gauge (above starter and not #8 Plug on the head) will I need to get a different sender adapter? Ive read that i need a M12x1.5 1/8" adapter..... Some say what comes with the autometer gaige works, or is this only with the tranny gauge? I'll be installing both here soon

From my research, you must get the M12x1.5 to 1/8" adapter for the water temp.
I think the tranny pressure port gauge was a 1/8" pipe and that's why the supplied fitting works.
