Default Looking for a deep pan for my 4L60E - Recomendations?

Who makes a nice deep pan for the 4L60E's. I want one with the cooling fins and the drain plug in it. If you know Please tell me where they can be found at a fair price. Thanks, Lata, Ark

Check out summitt, if I'm not mistaken the 700r4 fits. They have a TCI, Hughes, and Derale. Personally I like the looks of the Derale.

B&M makes one, check out some of the sponsors websites in their transmission section. Nice pan, I had one on my car. If your car is lowered any though you may not want a deep pan.

I put the B&M on mine.

I have to go back and seal that "extra" fill plug they put on the driver's side. It leaks. Probably needs some thread sealer on it.... Something is covering it now, the shifter linkage I think. So it's easier to seal it before you put it on the tranny....

I had a dearle. It is the least expensive and adds extra capacity and more cooling area. The TCI pan would be my choice if you have the $$ to spend on it.

I just read that the Derale only adds one quart. Also be sure that the one you buy has the filter adapter.

I like the TCI's Al construstion and lots of fins to disappate heat.

Matt: IMO, An extra quart is plenty. Its not the amount of fluid that's key, it's the ability to get the heat out of the fluid. Extra fluid helps if trailor your car to the track so that it is cool before you start racing. However, driving around in town, whether I have 1 extra quart or 4 extra quarts, the fluid temp is going to climb. A good deep pan supplements the cooling capacity of your tranny cooler by rejecting heat from the pan (and the heat is not rejected into the engine bay).

My TCI is a +2 qt. pan. You do not need any pick-up extensions, etc. w/it. TCI makes a 1st quality, rugged piece, and only hangs down a little more than the stock. I also drilled and tapped it for my temp gage sender unit. Plenty of material to drill and tap in the TCI pan.... WJ

Picked up a TCI at Summit, local ride for me.Easy install, new fasteners included.Pan has internal bosses to keep filter at its' OEM position, therefore not requiring filter extension.Car is not lowered, but pan hangs down lower than what I was expecting.
