Default Life expectancy of stock trans...

I have my stock trans still in the car. It has about 64k on it, never beat on or abused. I am going with a 3600 stall with a 2.8 str ( small gears as of now). How long would I expect for this stocker to last me. Not beating on the car just havin a little fun.

The stocker will last till you add more power to it. Just make sure you get a cooler with that stall or your stocker won't last at all.

I've got B&Ms 24K cooler, I suggest you get the same.

Will a small to medium sized cam change that? Again I don't really beat on it very much.

I don't know about that. I personally would build up the tranny first before I do any internal work. Just think, you can have a built tranny and the car will run great or you can put a nice cam in the car and if you lose certain gears in your tranny, the car won't run great.

Oh and also, once you do put that cam in, you are gonna want to beat on the car (temptation) but then you'll always have in the back of your mind if your tranny is holding up.

How many runs with the N2O? Let us know how everything goes. I'm sure that over time the tranny will go since N20 isn't constantly used. Or is it?
