Default No more Rock On 4l60e for me

Well after running 9.98 @ 142 mph on Rock Ons 4l60e at 3855#, I started looking at what could get me faster. First thing I see on my slip is a 1.54 60' time. Dave said no trans brake for the 4l60e yet so we decided I should run a th-400 and trans brake to get that 60' down. Who knows what Dave will be cooking up next for me. All the naysayers who said a 4l60e couldnt go 9s in a real weight car........wrong I cant wait until you spray guys go even faster with his tranny!

look at the bottom vidz in my sig...his number is in there.

I am sending mine to Dave to let him inspect it for wear to see where he might improve his builds even more and then he will sell it i imagine.

I've been impressed with mph but wondered why your 60' was bit high for all that power. Maybe a 50 shot off the line would get your 60' down and spool up those turbos. It was nice to see a full weight vert hauling *** with overdrive available.

We are getting 1.4 60' times with the Rock-On 4L60E in my son's Camaro. That's with the air conditioner still hooked up. We going back to the track Saturday to see if we can get it down in the 1.3s.

The 638 rwhp is my 2002 Camaro. It runs 6.7s in the 1/8th mile. It also has a Rock-On 4L60E tranny. It's race weight is about 4000 pounds. My son's 1999 Camaro hasn't gotten a good dyno run as gremilins kept popping up. I estimate he will probably dyno somewhere near 700 rwhp. Race weight is probably close to 3650 pounds. Both are fully loaded street cars. I drove his car 250 miles round trip last week to get the exhaust changed out. His first nitrous pass two weeks ago was a 6.68 at 103.09 mph with a 1.46 60' time. We were having suspension problems but we later found the pinion angle was at +5 degrees. We set it at -2 degrees which should help. The nearest quarter mile track is over 150 miles away and we don't own a trailer so we run at our local eighth mile track.

Hmm sounds right 10.2-10.3 with that 1/8th time and mph of about 136 or so. You can check the ET database and compare your 1/8th time and mph there.

cable.... Rock On was my next option, however I need a Trans Brake and RMVB. So, its TH400 time for me. My Cmotorsports Level 2 L60E just lost 3-4...clutches again! Do you know if Rock On is doing 400's with:
Trans Brake
RMVB
Speedo Conversion
and WTFE else is needed?

Thanks

CAT3 using Larry's account, sorry bro!

Yes,

I have one in my C5 race car. Works great, I'm using a full manual valve body, and puts down 425 rwhp unlocked through a 2400 stall PI convertor. I just need more motor to push it

Default streetable

did you over buy a th400? at one time a 480hp corvette had a th400 that was a smooth as a cadillac until you went to full throttle and then you had a handfull. these trans's did not have "shift kits" they were manufactured that way.
