Question A4 Fustration

Look guys my car is stock except for LM and SLP ypipe. I am getting fustrated with my automatic I would like to get a stall, but I dont go to the strip a lot, so would it be a waste of $ to buy one. When i buy a stall I want to avoid having to go back and upgrade to a higher stall so what would be good?

My converter works perfectly for me (Yank SS4000). I drive my car on the street daily. I've never had an issue, or felt like it was too loose. If were you I'd go w/ a 3600-4000 for a daily driver.

You don't need to go to the strip a lot to benefit from a good torque converer. I have the Vig 3200 and it is very good around town. Before that I had a SSF 3500 and it was also good for just cruising around. I'm having my Vig re-stalled in the spring to a 3600. I don't think you're wasting your money at all; our cars really wakeup when you get a TC installed. Like NICKZ28 said, 3600-4000 would be good. But don't go any lower than 3200. One important thing to note though is with an aftermarket stall (3200+) you'll have to have your shiftpoints adjusted and a few other tuning tweaks. Good luck.

a stall will still make your car more fun to drive without racing it and itll still be streetable depending on what you go with.

It really brings life to the car. Most dead spots will be erased. Combined with quality transmission tuning it'll be a great asset. I have over 20k on my Vig 3200. So far no problems what so ever other than my lead foot, bald tires and decreased gas milage.

I've got over 80K miles on my Yank ST3500. Granted, I don't go to the
track, but it's seen some use.
My recommendation is don't go over about a 2.0 STR unless you're going
to run some sticky (or larger than stock) tires. My TC will literally boil the largest tires I can get on stock rims (street radials).
