Default getting a built tranny, here it is

I'm getting a PRO-race rebuild from a tranny guy that has shown to do awesome work. Let me know what you guys think of the parts list.

RACE REBUILD: Custom shift kit, Fairbanks "Billet" 2 nd servo, Sonnax "Super Hold" 4th servo, .490" Sonnax pressure regulator boost valve, Alto "Wide" Red Lined 2-4 band, 7 Raybestos "Blue" 3-4 frictions, "Kolene" friction coated 3-4 steels OR Raybestos "Z-Pack", Sonnax "High RPM" pump slide spring, "The Beast" H/D sun shell, New Borg-Warner 28 element input sprag, Sonnax "full throttle upshift sleeve"

PRO RACE REBUILD: Everything in the Race Rebuild + the addition of the 4L65E front support, 4L65E hardened output shaft, and updated steel piston set for the input drum. Recommended for car's hitting sub 1.7 60' times............................................. .................................................. ...........$1400 + hardparts*

OPTIONS FOR RACE REBUILD:
4L65E 5 pinion front planetary......................................... .................................................. ........$100

In my tranny he had to repair other stuff since one failure lead to another. Also had to repair: 2-4 band took out the reverse housing, front 4-pinion planetary was worn, so I upgraded to 4L65E 5-pinion front planetary, other $5 parts. $298 extra

So after about $1700 I got a good tranny with a year warranty! I've talked with the builder quite a bit and he's VERY competent on what needs to be done. I'll be getting it this Saturday and hopefully putting it in soon. I'll post some results

Be interesting to see how it holds up - a lot of $ to put in a 4L60E.

I hope this is for a 700R4 because there is one part that doesn't belong.

Sounds like some good parts but which trans are are you runnig? 4L60e or 700r4? I'm confused because it's a 1999. The full throttle 3-4 upshift sleeve is usually a upgrade in a 700r4 not a 4l60e. Sounds like your builder gave you the wrong build sheet! I hope he is as good as you say. Good luck.... I hope there is a happy ending to this story!

Yes what da wrench said. There is no Sonnax "full throttle upshift sleeve" in a 4L60E.
I guess you're going to unknowingly pay for a part (or parts) that didn't even go into your trans.

here looks like this may be the part he's using...

if it's a replacement for a 4L60 it can very well be used and or modified for replacement on the 60E. maybe its just misdescribed.

Thats the problem. It says throttle valve, AKA tv as in tv cable, something the 4L60E doesn't have.

I think the price is for either transmission. After the listing of that valve it has (700), to me that means only the 700R4 gets that part. Everything else interchanges or doesn't require a specific name (for example: custom shift kit). It sounds right now that I read it all.
