Default What a difference a DA makes ...

This is a follow-up to the discussion in this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...1&page=1&pp=20
When my car was lid/catback, my best time was 13.4 on cool, crisp day. After installing my TCI 3000 and Nittos last spring, every time I ran the DA was 2900+, so at the end of the season the best I could do was a 12.98. I reached my goal of breaking into the 12's, but a .4 improvement from a stall and DR's was nothing to be excited about. First day out this year, it was the same deal, 2900+ DA and another best of 12.98 - even with my new MT DR's, which enabled me to hook much more consistently. Well, yesterday a cool front blew through, the DA was 720, and the track and the MT's were hooking nicely. Instead of having to ease the car off the line like with Nittos, with the MT's I was able to flash the converter - stomp and go. Result? I shaved .38 off my best, with .07 coming off my 60'. The moral of the story: with comparable weather, and without any hp enhancements, my TCI 3000 and MT DR's netted me nearly a .8 gain.
