you want to build it yourself? how competent are you in that area? there could be alot more parts that need replacing and you wouldnt know by looking at them.

no, my friend at the local chevy dealership is going to rebuild it, its still running now but fixin to go out. he told me to get these parts all the clutches/steels/gaskets ect to start off and once we are inside of it we can use core tranny parts they have there for replacements of any hard parts i have that might need to be replaced. so all i need are the upgrade and wear parts ...thanks

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=15847

this i a great rebuild kit for a great price. im sure jegs or summit carries the other parts that your going to need. and if you cant find a sun shell, tci has one on their website but no price listed. i think they're like $40-$60.

hope this helps

I'm not sure if I can post this link since it's a non-sponsor, but no sponsors sell individual transmission build parts that I know of. so here's the link
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm
I'm sure there are other sites out there to buy from, in fact there's one my builder buys from but I cant remember of the top of my head.

mods: please erase my post if the link is not allowed

GregWS6&z28 That is a great place for parts. They are local here in bossier city La. good people also. If you have any ?'s call and ask for richard. I just bought about every thing there is to go in a 4l60e and awaiting its first breath. There is a 04 or 05 vete here with tranny parts from transmission center they also built the tranny running 9.60's with LS7 and spray tranny is holding up.
