400rwhp+H/C A4 cars please come in
I need some help guys Ill get to my question when i tell my situation, i am frustrated and ready to give up for a while. A few weeks a ago went to track with my old setup that consisted of patriot heads in sig, 222/228 .551/.551 cam, TSP CATTED Y, loudmouth setup. I got decent 1.70 60's but could only run 12.20s at 111 mph still way off from what it should do. Now last night i went back to track with new some changes....F11 cam, and TSP true duals and new tune(old 388rwhp...new 413rwhp "LOCKED" on dyno both times). Results in ET were dissapointing due to horrible track conditions...could only get 1.9-2.0 60ft and still 12.20's but only gained 1 mph. The car is quicker and more powerful, due to same ets with worse 60 foots but do you guys think its my convertor killing my MPH and ET I see so many of you going much faster with similar rwhp numbers...... It is the only thing left that i can think of...just very very inefficient when not locked up

Nitto 315's....they not great, but still got bout 50% life in them....I would say that weather was about same....probably more humid since it rained that afternoon before we run. I know that if i could have cut at least a 1.70 then i could have went an 11 but this sucky trap speed got me down...

Was there a head wind when you went to the track? Was the pass made at night or during the day? There are alot of factors that fall into play when trying to get the car to run it's best. All dyno's I've seen are done in a building with fans blowing on the intake which should be at leat 10-15* cooler than a dragstrip. I wouldn't blame it on the converter yet. I'd wait until cooler weather. What track did you go to?

Yeah its a pig for sure....hardly ANY weight reductions plus the TTII are pretty heavy not to mention im around 300 lbs. It was last friday night no wind at all...I really need to get some numbers with convertor unlocked to see if all my power is slipping through the Fuddle....

Get some good weather, drop a lil weight, and some better 60 fts and it should go high 11s. I had the F11 cam only in my car and put down 348 rwhp unlocked, it went 12.3x@112 in 90+ degree weather earlier this summer a half a dozen passes in a row on 315 nittos. On the same tires, same everything last fall in 50 degree weather it went 11.99@115 on the nittos. Weather will be your biggest alli. Thats why I'm not racing my new setup til september/october when it cools down below 60 degrees at night...this hot humid air just isnt cuttin it.

Weather plays a hugh factor. to give you an idea, I ran 12.6 with a 230x224 3500 stall and bolt on's. I went to the track this year with a 242x248 cam, 4000 stall, fast 90/90, bigger injectors and rails and misc. and only ran a 12.4 But it was 100+ with the heat index. I also had some traction problems too.
