I would go with the 3k stall and I think TCI is a decent company as well.

Well the first ones for a 27 spline 4L60E ?
The second one has limited information , Says has been tested? does not say if its a lockup or not.

tci's have been having alot of trouble lately.. i would only buy 2 kinds of stalls... vigilante or yank (maybe fuddle).. and i would go with atleast a 3600 (what im currently running its a vig so would be closer to a 3800-4000 yank)

I got a local builder..I prefer that way so when I convert to my LS Engine, we can gut my Tranny, and drop all that into a LS1 4L60E Housing.

27 spline is early 700-R4. They might have tested it, but I don't think they tested it in a 4L60E unless GM went back to the smaller spline for some reason.

They never made a 4l60e 27 spline. All of the 4l60s, and late 700s are 30 spline. And, just some fyi, you can't use a late 700 or early 4l60 (pre-95' which is a 3 digit stall code) in a late model 4l60. They will physically work, but the lock up is designed different. But, you can put a late (4 digit stall code) in an early 30 spline trans.

I don't know what is optimal for an LT1, but go as big as you can. With your gears, driveability won't be an issue, and if you go small, you'll just want bigger in the future. I liked the 3500, but I love the 4K. I think next time around I'll go 4400.
