Default Tranny problem...

1994 z28 4l60e. first time ever removing a trannyyears ago, and i was by myself doing it. i was kinda at a angle with the wrench and extension and was cranking on the bolt on the passengerside to loosen it then all of a sudden it becomes very loose and i hear crack. well i broke a piece of the ear of the tranny off. if i can email someone the picture then i can have it posted on the board. i have no clue how to do that... P.S i have drove the car for acouple years with the piece broke. but i'm rebuilding the motor to a Blown 355 and look to push 10psi. this is not a track car just a weekend toy.

i'm wondering how bad it is to leave the tranny with one bolt short?? tranny only has 30,000miles on it so i would hate to junk it...

maybe find one at a junk yard and put all my guts into it? buddy who removed my motor had the broke piece at his shop but he can't find it now. thought maybe i could have someone weld it back on??

swap meets are coming up pretty soon in ohio here and if i went to one and found a 4L60E is the camaro/GM trucks the only cars that have this tranny and can you use a car tranny from a truck or like wise?
