99 trans am question NEED HELP plezzzz
Here is my question, I have a 409 stroker, and just finished replacing the 4l60e tranny with a th350 (my first mistake), but for now I am stuck with that tranny. anyways I dont know how to get the speedometer and odometer sensor to plug into the turbo350, it is different then the 4l60e connection. i would greatly appreciate any help thanks.

here are the pics of the car so far:
this is what my gauges show as you can see no speed and the odometer is stuck at 49k (which isnt a bad thing . . . lol)
this is the new 409 with the ls6 injection
I couldnt get under the car to take a pic of the cable to connect to the old 4l60e tranny but from hearing from smarter people then myself , they say it cant connect because something about it being a mechanical transmission instead of electrical or something. but if those other speedometer things could help i would appreciate . . but would Much prefer to connect the cutrrent speedometer to the odometer.

pics of the trans would help, pic of the speedo not working are useless.
if you had a buick/oldsmobile/pontiac short tail housing, or if you could get one, you could put the reluctor wheel and speed sensor off the 4L60E on your th350. You have to have a B/O/P tail housing though.

You'll need to find one out of a 700R4 or 4L60E with a 4 bolt tailhousing.

In the pic the BOP is in the middle, on the left is a 700R4 tail, the right one is a short chevy th350 tail.
I have a feeling you have the 9" housing though. If so you will need a cable to electric sender adapter or connect the speedo to the wheel sensor.
Did you have to do anything to the driveshaft when you did the swap? If the original one bolted right in chances are you have a 9" tailhousing.
