I'm not sure if they were different, but a V6 stall would work, I mean aftermarket stalls are from 4 bangers!

the transmission will not bolt up. an ls style v8 truck or car are the only trannys you can use for direct bolt up.

like said, i don't think the trans will bolt up.

as for power, it's all the same crap. the only difference that i know of is that the V8 4L60E has a corvette servo and the V6 version does not. that means the V8 version can handle an additional 5 horsepower or something i just made that up, i'm completely joking - but the corvette servo part is true.

Different bell housing, input shaft, stator shaft, servo asm, 1-2 accum & fwd accum spring

Also, V8 model has no 3-4 accum spring and a significantly larger torque converter

the bell housings are removable, why is bolting it up an issue? The bell housings will swap from unit to unit with out an issue.

If you have the torque converter and it bolts to your flywheel then it will work... not sure how well it will work, but it will.
