What do you plan on doing with the car? Track, daily driver, street car? What mods will you be doing in the future? I would get a 4000 converter for a bolt on ls1 but thats just me.

Oh and you might want to ask this in the auto section instead of this. You will get more responses.

For daily driver, id say 3600. for track only id say around 4000. A list of full mods and your goals for the car would help. As well as posting this in the right section.

my cars a dd and i went with a yank 3600. best decision ever. wouldnt really want something too much bigger for daily driving, but like the other guys said match your stall with your other mods you plan on doing.

i said 3200, mainly because my car is a true DD, and i will be driving across country a couple times.

i went with a 3k. anything over 3200 for a daily driver car here to me seems like to much. i think my 3k will be ery efficient and do what I need it to

I second the SS3600.. a friend of mine has that in his bolt-on LS1, and he loves it. That Car scoots.. it got me hooked on the Stall..
I am going with a 3600 in mine for driveability, and to keep the Chassis from twisting as much off the line.

the yank ss3600 stall is very popular. but my car is never ever gonna see the track. im leaning towards the vig 3200 stall which pretty much is really like a 3400 maybe 3500 stall. ive also talked to a few sponsors and all have said 3200 no more!! some have even said 2800 and 3000 size stalls.

Why would it never see the track?
Flooring it on the track is no different than on the street.

I'm guessin' with the stroker, you have more of a traction problem than me.

It can be, depends on how you throttle it. I got 1.94 60' on Street Tires, and 1.85' on DR's, both with a 2000 Stall. That was with the previous LT1 build.
Yes, this will be different with the Stroker Motor and that Stall, but I will practice it and learn it.
I like you sig.. I got parts accumulating everywhere as well..Pistons came in today.

Go for either 3500 or 3600 stall, you won't regret it. At first, I thought 3500 was too big for my DD Z28 but when I first drove it for the whole day, the stall is perfect for DD duties. BTW, my car only run once or twice at the track per year.

Yank 3500 here. old model. i would recommend nothing smaller than a 3500. with your 3.73 gears, your car is going to hit hard.
