Default How big is my stall? Vig 3600???

I just swapped in a supposed vig3600 this past weekend that I got from a buddy who bought it on this board. From reading I knew that they were loose. But damn, yesterday I footbraked my car to 3500 in my driveway with street tires. Now im not complaining because the car runs like a raped ape but I just wanted to see what you guys thought of it.

Well stall is affected by many things , gear ratio, torque, weight etc. So the stall may have completey different charateristics in your car from your buddies, However a foot brake of a 3600 to 3500 is higher than expected what is the rear ratio of your car and what was his?

Yeah my buddy never got around to putting it in his car. But I have a stock 3.23 rear end. The only mods to the car are the stall and full exhaust with mac mids and loudmouth. Im waitng for the wife to pop out our first kid before I throw my tr230. She's due tomorrow so maybe in 2 weeks i'll put the cam in. We'll see how the stall works then.

I just wonder what gear set he ordered it for , for instance if he ordered for 373 or 410 it would tend to stall much higher in yours,

vig underrates their stalls. a vig 3600 is really a ~4000 stall. if you actually wanted a 3600 stall, you need a vig 3200. a vig 3200 = 3600, vig 3600 = 4000.

FWIW, the vig 3200 is regarded as a very tight stall where the vig 3600 is regarded as pretty loose.

Well I think 3500 off the brake is too much. You should take it out and give it back to me, I mean him. In all seriousness, Performabuilt is there a way to figure out the true stall without having a trans break?

yeah i like the stall mike i was just curious if they were really that loose. ive read tons of threads saying the 3600 is more like a 4000 but i didnt think i would be able to footbrake that bitch that high. its no biggie.

on another note vanessa said to tell deena thanks for dinner bro. i see how it is. you invite her to eat when a brotha has to work huh. what afraid im going to eat all you're food. yeah and vanessa hates driving the TA now. lol she wants a 6speed again. lol

You can get close , Unplug the harness from the trans that will cause third and set codes but you can erase them then floor the car suddenly then what every the tac goes to will get you within a couple hundred rpm of the true stall .
