Default newb help with harsh shifting

this started about 3 days ago, when I WOT and my car shifts automatically (A4) I feel the shift a lot stronger and almost like something is bumping up. It has never shifted this hard, you feel the car tug back and it sounds a lot harder, please help.

Well while there are several reason why it may shift harder are you sure you dont have a broken mount orloose torque bar, And its rather rare someone complains there A4 shifts to hard lol

all I know is when I WOT and I feel the car shift it has changed dramatically from about a week ago, before you would just hear it shift and barely feel it and now you definetly feel it (as if the car tugs a bit) and I feel a bumping feeling from under my seat.

Well you could have a broken mount but I will say most camaro trans I have ridden in that were in good shape even stock with the stock converter had a decently firm shift under throttle , I would be more worried if I had one that was real smooth

hmmm i see, just wondering how serious is a broken mount and how much would it be to repare. The car is in great shape and just crossed over the 50,000 miles line, I have yet to change the transmission fluid (not sure if previous ower has). Also what would you consider a firm shift, sorry for the newb questions, I am like Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder lol I can drive with the best of them but just don't know **** about the mechanics lol

my A4 shifts harder at 3/4 throttle then at WOT. but thats the way most of my autos always have been. from TH350 an TH400s to this 4l60e. unless i had a valvebody all done and a crazy stall.

sounds like the mount is broke like everyone said...but that dont explain the hard shifts.

between the tranny hittin the floor and the angle of drivshaft when it shifts... could be the reason it feels like that. maybe the tranny lines are pinching causing a fluid pressure surge. these are just wild guesses of course.

Check if the PCM has set any DTC's for the MAF or IAT sensors.

Monitor those sensors with a scantool to verify they are reading sensible values.
