For people who have sent thier converter back to Precision to have it restalled what was your reasoning behind it? Anyone switch from a 3600 vig down to a 3200 vig just to perform better on spray or go from the 3200 up to the 3600?
My car has the majority of boltons, 3.23's, and is stock internal with a 100-125 shot but will soon have a 230+ cam and heads.
I figure the 3600 vig I have now (not in the car yet) will be fine on the hundred shot
My concern is that it may be too much converter for my spray on stock internals. Does anyone have any real world experience? Or am I being too conservative and should just run with what I have and it will be fine

Technically, your stall speed is based on your cam at .050" on your cam card. If you are going to add a larger duration cam your converter company can help you with this. Heads, cam, throttle body, or carb size, weight, tire size, gear ratio, type of trans, etc.. play a part in choosing your stall speed. It's too exspensive to just guess because of some other car has a specific stall. Most people will not tell you all their majic because they want to be the fastest. The idea of the stall speed is to get into the powerband of the motor regardless of nitrous. The nitrous revs the engine quicker into the powerband. This is a deep subject and there are some contradictions, I would start with the converter company as they are the pros. Hope this helps. To give you an example, I run an SS convertible. It's heavy. I have a stock bottom end with ARP 2000 rod bolts, ET Perf heads, Comp Cam 232*-234*@.050", .595-.598,112LC. A Vigilante 4000 stall, 4.10 Dana60, NX 300HP kit using 150, lots of other stuff. I've raced it for 2 years and drive it everywhere. You should be fine. It's all in the quality of the parts you choose. Good luck!
