Default Fuddle 3600 is in!

Car launches great with the F3600 in there. BUT it falls on its face on the 1-2 shift...then pulls hard again. I am thinking TQ management?...I will be getting tuned real soon, so I think that need to go all together. What should I set my shiftpoints at? I at least want to extend 1st a litte. Its pulling hard still and then shifts too soon. Oh..and what trans temps do you guys experience? Mine seems to be between 180-200 hot town driving. I have seen it as high as maybe 230+ after 3 back to back runs...I do have an aftermarket 24,000 cooler in adition to my factory one. Advice on any of this?

congrats, stalls are a lot of fun. the tq management is pulling timing between shifts so thats why it kinda feels like it falls on its face. personally, have mine to set at 6000rpm, you might have to play with the shift tables for it to actually shift then (mine was set at 6100rpm to shift at 6000) it just depends on the car.

Just curious.. Which convertor did you order? I don't see an F3600 on the website. Is it a P 3600 or a HPS 3600?

Thanks

I have a Y3000 coupled to 3.73's (stock motor 01 Z28), and had the same "fall on your face problem" until I had it dyno tuned. The tuner chose to delete the TM all together. The problem was eliminated after the tune.

I also had a Transgo shift kit installed with the converter.

Its a P3600 2.2 STR and I have the 3,23s still..so thats hurting me some. But I still am having serious traction issues even with 16lbs in MT Radials on the street.

your tranny shouldnt be gettin that hot. its bad for the parts and the fluid.. around town mine doesnt get any higher than 180. but most of the time its at 150 with the same cooler.. you might have the cooler on the wrong side of the lines...mine goes from the tranny to the radiator then to the cooler then back to the tranny..yours might be tranny cooler radiator tranny...so your rad is reheatin the fluid you just cooled...and im sure with a tune it will feel better.

with some susp. parts your car will be hooking.. mine with 315 bfg drags hooks from a dead stop with 20psi..but i have a special way of gettin it out of the hole

I dont know. Thats what it runs. I have the cooler hooked up right. The sending unit is in the line psi port. Will it read slightly higher there?...Its probably more like 180 in town. I dont see any 200 unless Im racing it.

The PSI port is measuring fluild at its hottest point and generally is not a good place to take the temp . Move the sending unit to the pan and you will get a more average realistic temperature.

Ok, I'll plan to do that when I upgrade my pan then. But for now I can rest assured that my gauge is reading a little above the avg. temp?
