Default Need some help! Car won't go doesn't go forward anymore

Still kind of new to this thing. 3400 Fuddle HPS stall. Had no issues at all with it on a 500 mile trek....until I got off the interstate. Starting hearing a cracking sound type sound and when I came to a full stop the car did not want to move forward. Did that the entire rest of the way home (about 25 more miles) anytime I came to stop. Reverse works perfect. But going into drive is a no joy now.

Please help!! I leave Friday to see my fiance and if the car needs to go some place for a rebuild or anything I want to do it tomorrow so it'll be done before I get back. Or else I'm literally screwed since I have no DD.

Sounds like you should just take it in to a shop.
Someone might say it sounds like a fwd sprag or a number of things and it's going to require a trans shop anyway.

In all honesty, not being a smartass or anything price range is $200 to $2000.

If you want a more accurate guess at least list miles, trans mods, trans service history, average driving style, previous problems, original trans or not.

figured as much

-Car has 45k (literally just turned it)
-Trans mods are the 3400 stall, tranny cooler (placed underneath the airdam basically below the fans
-Has always been serviced and filter changed. When we put the stall in, 02WS6TA was amazed that there was ZERO metal in the pan
-No problems at all until literally an hour ago
-Original tranny yes
-Driving style, I don't WOT the hell out of the thing and actually drive it pretty normal. Seldom even seen a race and never touched a drag strip

If its just really hard to go when this happens you are probably seting limp mode , Third gear starts from the stall and code po757 should acompanie it , A vey comon condition if this is the case after you turn the car off things should return to normal for a bit, If this is the case have the test for the code P0757 removed and all will be good again, If not then you likely need a trans, Scanning is the first priority,

Thank you can this be done with the scanners from Autozone and crap or is there a different one. Sorry I'm still a newb to this world. I would think if it was something else, it would have happened before I literally just got done driving over 600 miles in one day.....but I'm not a rocket scientist

I prefer to tell people to expect the worst, that way it's a huge relief if it actually is something easy.
Get someones hopes up that it's an easy fix and find out it's not, it's a disappointment.
