car will not shift into o/d 0753 code
hey guys just a quick question.... i have a ws6 with a stock 4l60e and a tci 3600 converter. i was driving around town tonight and it threw a 0753 code and will not shift into overdrive. first off i thought the 0753 was the 1-2 shift solenoid code? could this make it also not go into o/d? thanks for any help

I would definatly go with replacing the 1-2 (a) solenoid as a first move then ,They are cheap and easy to replace. Go ahead and get a fliter and gasket and change those too while your in there. I ussually suggest changing both the 1-2(a) and the 2-3(b) solenoids as a pair.

ok thanks performabilt can these solenoids cause the converter to not lock up? it locks up in third gear now but it was just acting funny yesterday before it threw the code. it was locking and unlocking. i found a set of solenoids on ebay for like $20 shipped i guess ill go with that.

I doubt that will help with a PO753 its and electrical fault below if the definition of the code.
When the PCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the 1-2 SS valve circuit, then DTC P0753 sets. DTC P0753 is a type B DTC
Your thinking of the stall codes for solenoids stuck open or closed
